i agree, the effect is quite nice.
this pic look great despite the scanning don't worry.
i like how you used the background color to draw the the squirrel lineart.
it's like he's popping out of the redness behind him.

I love how watercolored it looks (of course it may be water color, I don't know). I agree with Asrafarel, the way you used the background as lineart really looks great!

There was a place in Michigan I used to visit every summer.... black squirrels everywhere. They are cute little guys. :)

I do like the background effect. And maybe it's just me but I'm seeing this cool sort of yin/yang thing going on between the squirrel and the background.
Anyway, very cute. :)

D= My brother's college's mascot is the black squirrel. And they have black squirrels on campus. But they are smaller and weaker than the grey squirrels found on campus, and the grey squirrels beat the crap out of them. At least so says my brother.
