I prefer this version. The kitten looks absolutely horror-struck, which goes well with the atmosphere of the piece (in short: I agree with everyone else).

I actually like both versions, though the atmosphere in this one corresponds more closely with the kittens expression.

I have to say I realllly like this version.
I think because the house looks creepier being faded, also get more of the impression this scene is in rain/damp environment with the dark greys.
Also my eye is drawn to the mothers tail being so ghostly white thus I look at the sons eyes then the house. Blah blah blah...
Short version awesome work!
